Hand-Crafted Dark Fantasy Adventure The Midnight Walk Announced For PS5, PC, And VR Headsets

Embark upon the incredible new journey built entirely in clay when the minds behind Lost in Random and Fe deliver The Midnight Walk in 2025!

MoonHood, a new game development studio formed by former members of Lost in Random and Fe developer Zoink Games, today announced The Midnight Walk, a reverent dark fantasy first-person adventure game built entirely in clay. Published by Stockholm-based Fast Travel Games, the game will launch on PlayStation 5 with optional support for PlayStation VR2, as well as PC with support for PC VR headsets, in 2025.

The Midnight Walk made its debut during PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast today. The first trailer for the game introduces a hand-crafted world in which you play The Burnt One. Here you befriend a lost lantern creature named Potboy, and use his flame to light your way through a conflicting world of wonder and horror. Journey down the twisted trail of The Midnight Walk and survive by outsmarting horrific monsters eager to devour your little friend’s flame.

Experience five tales of fire and darkness, featuring an incredible cast of odd characters. As the trailer reveals, assets for The Midnight Walk were first sculpted with real life clay, then 3D scanned to a meticulous level of detail and brought into the game. Paired with the stop motion-style of animation, the approach creates an intricate and visually arresting world.
